Governor Photographed in a Celebration Without a Facemask
PHOENIX, ARIZONA, USA – The governor of Arizona, Doug Ducey, was “exposed” in social networks with a photograph where he is seen in a celebration drinking beside a swimming pool, in an accumulation of people, without keeping social distance and none of the attendants are wearing facemasks.
The image was released by a Twitter user adding a text where he told the governor that this is not social distancing.
The image was published last Sunday and it was reported that the celebration where the governor’s photograph was taken was on July 4.
Arizona Media reported that the response from the Office of the Governor of Arizona, among other things, was that the event was actually held on June 6 and not on July 6 as mentioned in the publication.
And that it was a family graduation event when there was no dramatic spike of Covid-19 cases in Arizona.
On June 6, the Arizona health authorities documented a total of 25,451 people infected and 1,042 deaths.
In Tucson Council member Steve Kozachik addressed a letter to the Arizona governor, condemning the behavior.
In addition, he asked him to rescind an order that does not allow local jurisdictions to take local actions against Covid.
