Fourth Seize of Weapons and Ammunition This Week

HUATABAMPO, SONORA, MX.- A fourth seize of weapons and ammunition just this week, between Sonora and Arizona, was reported on Thursday in Huatabampo, in the South of Sonora state, near Sinaloa.

According to reports by the Federal Attorney, Fidel P was captured during the police operation.

The incident occurred on the National Highway, in the area between Estación Don and Ciudad Obregón, where the city of Huatabampo is located.

Fidel was the driver of a truck and he was transporting four rifles and 20,000 ammunition hidden in the sleeper cab compartment.

The detained is currently under investigation by Federal authorities.

Earlier this week in Nogales border area, Mexican and United States customs authorities seized nearly 40 thousand bullets that smuggled into Mexico in three separate incidents.
