Four Bodies Found in Caborca
CABORCA, SONORA, MX – Four male bodies were found on Friday inside an abandoned truck next to the cemetery in Caborca.
The State Attorney General’s Office (FGJE) confirmed the finding and added that the victims had gunshot injuries.
The truck was abandoned inside the parking lot of the local cemetery, located between Federal Highway 2 and road to Las Calabazas.
The case was reported around 5:30 pm, and local authorities were dispatched to secure the area.
The bodies were inside the truck’s cargo area.
In the last week, there have been nearly 20 fatal victims due to the violence experienced in the city of Caborca. Allegedly crime groups are fighting for control of the zone.
On Friday, June 19, residents experienced several hours of shootings, houses set on fire, and armed confrontations in Puerto Lobos and the city of Caborca, resulting in several fatalities.

On Saturday, June 20, in the Caborca-Sonoyta section of Federal Highway 2, authorities found ten bodies on the side of the road. Later the same day another body was found in the city.
