Five Bodies Found in Less Than Two Days

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – Three bodies were found in Nogales on Saturday, which makes a total of five bodies found in less than two days.

Friday

The crimes started unfolding on Friday morning when residents of Puesta del Sol reported that a person was found in the outside area of the neighborhood.

Officials were sent to the scene, and they found the remains of a half-buried male body. Hours later, another body was found in an area located 90 feet away from the first scene.

Saturday

Saturday at 6:30 am, a report was made to local authorities of two people found dead inside the chapel of the Santa Muerte (Holy Death) located on the International Highway south of Nogales.

The bodies were of two men with visible signs of torture and a message threatening all thieves. The message stated that “this” would happen to those who commit robbery.

Four hours later, at noon, on Opatas Street, in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood, neighbors reported that the body of a male person was found inside a white Toyota, Matrix taxi.

His body showed signs of violence and had been left in the trunk of the car.
