Five Ak-47 Rifles and Three Vehicles Confiscated in Nogales

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – Five rifles Ak-47, as well as three vehicles, were seized in two incidents. The first incident in the Nogales neighborhood Luis Donaldo Colosio, West of the city, and the second incident in the Ejido Janos, 45 kilometers from the border wall, near the town of Imuris, Sonora.

According to information of the Mexican Army (Sedena), a man was arrested as a result of the incident in Nogales.

The Nogales seizure occurred when the military was patrolling the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood and saw a suspect male driver that they decided to inspect.

The individual was carrying in his car a cargo of three rifles and sixteen magazines, one of them was of the disc type.

In the case of Ejido Los Janos the military found two vehicles, two rifles and three .223 caliber cartridges. In this second incident, no detainees are reported.
