Firearms, Grenade and Ammunition Found in Tucson Stolen Vehicle
MAGDALENA DE KINO, SONORA, MEXICO – A shipment of fire weapons, cartridges, and a fragmentation grenade, was found in a vehicle with a theft report in the town of Magdalena de Kino.
According to official reports, the finding happened in a coordinated operation of the State Public Security Police (PESP) and the Mexican Army (Sedena).
The finding was on Sunday, May 10, when state officers who were operating in the Santa Ana region responded to a support request from the Mexican Army in Magdalena.
In the Aterrizaje neighborhood, the Army found an abandoned vehicle with fire weapons in the inside area.
The state agents and the military arrived at Cuauhtemoc Street between Carretera Internacional and the “caseta’’ area where they found a black Ford Escape.
The car was reported stolen on September 5, 2019 in Tucson, Arizona.
Inside the vehicle they found several firearms and cartridges, in addition to a fragmentation grenade.
Five firearms were secure in total, with their respective magazines and cartridges, three of them are AR15 rifle type, one AK-47 and one pistol with .9 mm caliber ammunition, also thirteen magazines and around 380 useful bullets of different gauges.
