Firearms Confiscated in Imuris

Nogales, Sonora, MX- 

The National Guard confiscated several chargers and dozens of bullets as well as an AK-47 type rifle in Imuris, Sonora.  The National Guard also confiscated several weapons of type “tips” or “stars” to burst tires.

According to official reports, the guards were touring the neighborhood El Estadio, when they noticed a golden Ford pickup, without license plates and apparently abandoned.

Firearm Detonations Reported at 911

When inspecting the car, they found the items listed above and received several reports of firearm detonations through the town.  This triggered several patrols of police operatives on the streets nearby for investigation.

The elements of the National Guard patrolled in partnership with the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena), as well as the Municipal and State police.

The confiscated items were delivered to the Attorney General of the Republic based in Nogales.
