Fewer Deaths by Covid-19 in Arizona
PHOENIX, ARIZONA, US – From documenting up to 20 daily deaths related to Covid-19, this Saturday health workers of the state of Arizona reported a reduction in the daily death toll.
On Saturday the Department of Public Health Services registered seven deaths in the last report, that is, up to a third of those that were documented in a single day in the last week.
With the new 235 cases detected last day, the infections toll increased to 6,280, while the accumulated number of deaths reached 273 records.
During Friday 1,794 tests were applied, with which the accumulated number of Covid-19 detection tests that have been applied reached 62,508.
The percentage of positive cases based on the tests applied is 9% and the mortality rate per 100,000 population is 3.80.
Santa Cruz County registered 30 infections; Cochise 36; Pima 1,090 and Maricopa 3,234. The rest of the cases are distributed in the other eleven counties in Arizona.
