Evacuation Area is Expanded For Tucson Fires
TUCSON, ARIZONA, USA – On Thursday at 9:15 am, Pima County emergency services requested residents of some areas of Pima Canyon, as well as Catalina Foothills properties to evacuate.
The same day but in the afternoon the evacuation order to those who live in The Enclave in Pima Canyon, Villas at Rancho sin Vacas, Pima Estates, Villa Milano, Catalina Ridge Estates, and The Canyons.
Residents of Alvernon East, Skyline North, Sabino Canyon West, as well as Mage North, Oracle East, and Catalina State Park South were asked to be prepared to evacuate.
“There is a significant danger,” the emergency service authority warned.
The request to evacuate the properties is due to the danger caused by an active fire. On June 5, lightning strikes caused a fire to ignite in the extreme west of the Santa Catalina Mountains.
