Evacuated Neighborhoods Can Return

TUCSON, ARIZONA, USA – Authorities from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the Office of Emergency Management retire the evacuation order for the Bighorn fire in North Tucson.

In a notice issued at 4:45 pm this Friday, they confirmed that residents who had received requests to leave their homes could safely return to them.

The evacuation alert has not been completely eliminated, so they recommend being prepared in case the alert will be reactivated.

Until Friday, the Bighorn forest fire was estimated to have affected more than 7,92 Acres.

The fire started June 5 from a lightning strike and as of Friday morning, it was estimated to have been 10% contained, according to the Pima County Office of Emergency Management.
