Drug Addict Kills Partner Out of Jealousy

SAN LUIS RIO COLORADO, SONORA, MX – Justino N of 55 years of age, was arrested accused of the crime of femicide in San Luis Rio Colorado border.

According to the Attorney General of Justice of the State of Sonora (FGJE), the crime of femicide was committed to the detriment of 50-year-old Maria N on June 1 at 1:08 pm in her house. The couple’s children are witnesses to the assault.

The victim died in a bedroom of the property due to several stab wounds allegedly caused by Justino N, who injured his neck when trying to end his own life.

Local Public officers were dispatched as the first responding authority, they secured two knives at the scene and arrested the suspect.

According to the prosecution, witnesses explained in an interview that the attack was initiated by a jealousy incident that turned violent. Witnesses stated that altercations between the couple had been occurring for more than three years, but the last fight was exacerbated by the alleged murderer’s use of drugs.

The suspect was taken to the hospital while personnel from the Sonora Public Prosecutor’s Office and agents of the Criminal Investigation Ministerial Agency (AMIC) continue with the investigations.
