DIF Delivers 1,444 Food Packs to Families in Need

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – A total of 1,444 food packs were delivered by workers of the System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) in coordination with Social Department and City Council members to parents of school students in the urban and rural areas of the city.

DIF workers reported that these school breakfasts have been delivered to the families of the students in the different educational establishments at the elemental and kindergarten levels during this sanitary contingency for Covid-19.

The program’s priority is to provide food for children during this health emergency.

Each kits contain 27 boxes of milk, 27 cookies and seven dried fruits.

Delivering these food packages begun in the most poor and vulnerable neighborhoods of the city, as well as in rural communities such as Cibuta.

In order for the beneficiaries to receive this support, they must present the Unique Population Registry (CURP) of the student. Eligibility requirements to receive are: person must be between 4 and 17 years of age, or must be an elderly person, or a person with some type of disability.
