Deaths by Coronavirus Rise in Arizona
PHOENIX, ARIZONA, US – After the first day of more than a month, the number of deaths related to Covid-19 in Arizona was zero, but the situation is different now, with 18 deaths in the past few hours.
To date, 6,948 infections and a total of 293 deaths have accumulated, according to figures from the Arizona Department of Public Health Services.
The trend continues to develop, with 6 out of every 10 deaths being male and 4 being female.
Of the 293 deaths, 223 were in people 65 years of age or older; 41 in people from 55 to 64 years old; 20 in those who are in the age range of 45 to 54 years and 9 in people from 20 to 44 years.
Contagion
Of the 6,948 infections, 1,888 occurred in Pima County, 3,578 in Maricopa County, 31 in Santa Cruz, and 37 in Cochise County.
To date, 67,438 tests have been applied, of which the percentage of positive tests is 9%.
The mortality rate per 100,000 inhabitants is 4.08, and the case rate is 96.6.
