Clothing Store Robbed

After not opening her clothing store for 15 days, a local merchant realized that four bags of assorted clothes, 600 pants, and high-value accessories were stolen.

The report was addressed on Sunday at 10:50 a.m. when the municipal police received a robbery report at the Melito store, located on Avenida Obregón 944.

The owner said she did not know who could have stolen the merchandise.

The agents reminded her to go to a state attorney office to file a legal complaint to initiate the investigation.

Homeless Woman Gives Birth On The Street

Local police officers rescued a homeless woman downtown, Nogales. Moments before she had given birth on the street, but the newborn did not have vital signs.

The incident was recorded Monday at 1:12 a.m. on Adolfo López Mateos Avenue, near the Enrique Pestalozzi elementary school. Officers saw a woman lying on the ground and realized that she had just given birth.

Officers immediately called in paramedics from the Mexican Red Cross, but the baby had no vital signs.

The woman was transferred to the local General Hospital and was identified as 29-year-old Wendy, from Culiacán, Sinaloa. She has no known address in Nogales and was admitted under medical observation.

State authorities arrived at the scene to order the removal of the stillborn body and gather evidence to start an investigation.
