Man Dies in Hospital After Blunt Injuries
A 43-year-old man lost his life in Nogales while being treated at General Hospital for injuries to the head and various parts of the body.
The deceased was identified as Jesús Manuel Pacheco Montoya.
The death was reported at 02:33 am on Wednesday, when medical personnel requested the presence of local police officers at the General Hospital.
The doctor in charge reported that the victim had been admitted to the hospital the day before and was undergoing treatment for a blunt injury on the head and injuries in several parts of the body.
State authorities took the report and ordered the removal of the body.
Two Men Detained With Narcotics
Two men were arrested in San Luis Rio Colorado for possession of narcotics during a city patrol by the State Public Security Police (PESP).
The seizure was possible through surveillance patrols in the El Mezquite neighborhood on the morning of Monday, May 4.
41-year-old Alfonso N was caught and arrested on Amapolas B avenue between 24th and 25th streets of the “El Mezquite” neighborhood.
Officers conducted a body search and found a Ziploc bag containing narcotics.
Later that day and in the same city, Customs agents requested backup assistance from the state police. They stopped a man with a narcotic-like substance in the border crossing port of entry.
The state officers arrested a 53-year-old man identified as Richard N, caught in possession of three ziplock bags with narcotics.
