Person Arrested on Suspicion of Robbery

Local police arrested 29-year-old Jose N on suspicion of attempted robbery on the General Middle School 1 campus on Obregón Avenue.

The case was reported at 4:43 p.m. when local police officers were alerted that someone outside the school was trying to steal.

When the agents arrived, they arrested Juan N, from Navojoa, Sonora, in possession of a speaker, electric components, and a computer monitor, among other items.

The person was detained and will be processed by the state authorities for the presumed robbery.


Self-Service Store Robbed

With about 20 dollars, 100 cigarette packs, and five cell phones, thieves fled after arriving at a self-service store located in the Lomas Del Rosario neighborhood.

The store clerk called local police at 2:37 a.m. requesting assistance at the store located between Reforma and 1 de Mayo streets.

He reported that shortly before he entered the bathroom, he heard a loud noise and opted to stay in the bathroom for fear of being assaulted. He then called the police from the bathroom.

When he stopped hearing the sound, he decided to go out and realized that a window in the store was broken and items were missing.

The clerk said he did not know who could have committed the robbery.
