Oxxo Employees Assaulted
A group of six men and women, entered a self-service store, assaulted the clerks, and escaped.
The incident occurred Wednesday around 6:30 p.m., when police officers received a call reporting violence in Oxxo Tlaquepaque store, located on Mariano Monteverde Street, in the Pueblitos neighborhood.
Officers interviewed 44-year-old Magdalena, who reported that moments before a group of around 5 or 6 people, including women and men, entered the storer with a violent attitude.
She said that the suspects began to attack her verbally and physically, as well as her 17-year-old son, who works in the store, and moments later the attackers escaped.
The victims were taken to a base in the North area where they were medically certified and informed of the process to file a legal complaint in the State Attorney Office.
Suspected Robber Caught in Backyard
On Thursday, local police officers arrested a man in the backyard of a house located on Termopilas Street, in the Kennedy neighborhood. The man is suspected of trying to rob the home.
The case occurred at 12:48 a.m. when the homeowners called the police requesting help.
Alejandro N reported to the agents that he was inside his home when he heard noises outside, and after checking the video-surveillance cameras he saw a man prowling in the yard.
Police officers detained Roberto N, who remains at the disposal of an Investigative Agency of the State Attorney Office.
