Robbery on El Terraza del Cid Industrial Park
Armando N, 49 called the local authorities to report a robbery inside his pick up Ford, Ranger, 1993.
The victim reported that he arrived at Sonora Metal shop at 6:30am. The shop is located at El Terraza del Cid Industrial Park, East Nogales, where he works.
He went back to the car at 11:30 am and noticed that the right door was open. He checked inside and realized that some some items were missing: a laptop, multiple tools and electric parts, as well as an original BMW car title.
Police officers notified the victim about the process to register a legal complaint.
Cyclist Crashes After Losing Control of Bike
A cyclist traveling at high speed lost control of the bike and hit a Ford Explorer, 1998. The car was in traffic at Sierra Cocospera and Sierra Mariquita streets, in Buenos Aires neighborhood at East Nogales.
The cyclist is identified as Jesús N, 43 and suffered life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car is identified as Jesus N, 31. The accident occurred on Thursday 1 p.m.
The cyclist was taken to the hospital to receive treatment.
Patrol Schedule Increased to Protect Schools
Local police officers scheduled more frequent patrols of empty schools in an effort to prevent robbery and criminal damage.
Alberto Lopez, police chief, said that this strategy will continue during the time that the schools remain closed for the Covid-19 pandemic.
“In this way, we are looking to protect each one of the schools of every level from criminal damage and robbery, and any other negative situation’’, he said.
