Couple Detained in Possession of Illegal Drugs
A couple were stopped by local police officers while speeding in a 1995 Honda Civic through the eastern part of the city. After searching the car police officers found the couple was in possession of illegal drugs.
The individuals were identified as Luis N, 30, and Yoselin N, 23.
The couple was detected when police officers were patrolling the Calzada de los Virreyes street, and stopped them between De la Vida and Segunda streets, in the Solidaridad neighborhood.
The driver said he was in a hurry because he needed to clean up a piece of land with Yoselin, his companion. Police officers reported he the woman was nervous and started screaming at them.
Upon checking the car, they found two doses of methamphetamine in the woman’s purse.
Motorist Collision
A driver collided on the perimeter fence of maquiladora “Continental”, he was detained and arrested by local police officers.
The incident occurred Saturday afternoon. Police received a report on the emergency line 911 requesting police presence in San Patricio street and Boulevard Nogales 2000, because someone crashed into a fence..
Police officers found a red pick up Dodge, Dakota, 2003, without oficial plates.
Officials determined that due to the driver’s lack of caution, the motorist lost control of the vehicle, hitting the block fence of the maquiladora. There were no injuries in the incident.
