Covid-19 Update – Santa Cruz County

NOGALES, ARIZONA, US – Case number 30 of a patient infected with Covid-19 was registered this Friday in Santa Cruz County, Arizona.

But there is also good news at the same time. Today it has been confirmed that 21 people have recovered from Coronavirus in Santa Cruz County.

Local authorities confirmed that a total of 194 Covid-19 lab tests have been applied in the County, of which 21 were applied on Thursday.

“Since last week, the number of Covid-19 tests applied in the county has increased by 66%. The percentage of positive cases based on the tests applied is 11.3%’’, local authorities confirmed.

There are currently no individuals hospitalized in Santa Cruz County, Arizona for Covid-19.

Of the more than 6,000 documented cases across the state of Arizona, there are about 984 hospitalized patients, representing 76% of the available beds in intensive care.

Approximately 30% of hospital beds in emergency areas are in use and approximately 29% of the ventilators.
