Covid-19 Update – Arizona
PHOENIX, ARIZONA, US – Arizona health authorities confirmed 172 Covid-19 related deaths on Thursday, one of the highest numbers of fatalities for one day during the pandemic.
In addition, 2,525 new people infected were reported, with which the accumulated number of cases during the pandemic reached a total of 170,798 people who have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.
According to the daily statistical update of Covid-19 from the Arizona Department of Health Services, to date, 3,626 people have died from causes related to the virus in the state of Arizona.
2,614 of the victims were 65 years of age or older and 539 were in the age range of 55 to 64 years; 247 were between 45 and 54 years old; 214 between 20 and 44 and 12 of the fatalities were in people of 20 years old or younger.
Yuma County has registered 10,761 Covid-19 positive cases; 15,884 in Pima; 2,577 in Santa Cruz; 467 in Cochise and 114,852 cases in Maricopa.
