Covid 19 Update – Arizona

PHOENIX, ARIZONA, US.- The state of Arizona starts the week with 122 deaths and 3,702 people infected by Covid-19.

According to the Department of Public Health Services, the level of community spread alert remains “extended.”

Maricopa County has the most cases with a total of 2,020; Pima County amounts 668, Santa Cruz 10, Cochise 16 and Pinal 168.

The 53% of the infected patients are women and the vast majority of cases have occurred in patients whose ages fluctuated between 20 and 44.

Deaths

Of the 122 deaths 52 occurred in Maricopa County; 29 in Pima and 21 in Coconino. 68% of the deceased were mens mainly with an age of 65 years or older.

Tests

Public and Private laboratories have applied a total of 43,347 Covid-19 tests. 8% of the patients have tested positive for the virus.

In Maricopa County 26,829 tests have been applied, in Pima County 5,662, in Santa Cruz 120 and 462 in Cochise County.
