Covid-19 Update – Arizona
TUCSON, ARIZONA, USA – Arizona exceeded 90,000 cases of Covid-19 on Friday, while the death toll is close to 1,800.
According to the Arizona Department of Health Services, 4,433 new infections were confirmed this Friday, as well as 31 deaths.
The accumulated number of people infected reached 91,858 during the current pandemic, and the death toll reached 1,788 fatalities.
The number of test applications increased considerably in the last week, documenting a total of 755,768 to date.
In Friday’s Covid-19 update, Arizona state health officials reported applying 20,272 tests.
Santa Cruz County has 1,887 people who have tested positive for Covid-19; Pima 9,024; Yuma 6,824; Maricopa 57,929 and Cochise 710.
The rest of cases occur in the other counties, mainly those located to the North side of the state.
