Covid-19 Update – Arizona

Covid-19 death toll in the state of Arizona rose to 108 this Saturday, while the volume of infections reached 3,393.

At the time of this report, the female population has been the most affected by the spread of the virus. Reports show that 53% of the patients infected are women and 47% are male.

According to the Arizona Department of Health Services, the level of community spread of the virus remains as “widespread”.

Most of the cases have been found in people whose ages are between 20 and 44 years of age with 1,255 of infections.

Maricopa County has 1,891 cases; Pima 591; Santa Cruz 8, Cochise 13 and Pinal 146.

To date, 40,530 tests have been applied, the majority in Maricopa County with 25,216.

In  Pima County 5,320 people have been tested for Covid-19, in Santa Cruz 11, and 425 in Cochise.

Out of all tests carried out in Arizona state, 8% have been positive for Covid-19.
