Covid-19 Update – Arizona

PHOENIX, ARIZONA, USA – Monday’s update released by health authorities confirms eight new deaths related to Covid-19 and 1,114 new infected people.

The cumulative of infected people is 36,705 and the death toll is 1,194 according to the Arizona Department of Health Services.

The most significant rise in cases in Arizona has occurred in Maricopa County which currently has 19,372 infected people.

Pima County reached 3,944 and it’s closely followed by Yuma with 3,265 contagious.

According to its population, one of the counties with the highest infection rate is Santa Cruz, where there are already 988 patients infected by Covid-19.

In the face of this situation, the Board of Santa Cruz County asked residents to wear a facemask when in public. Santa Cruz is the third county with the most infections per capita in Arizona.

While in Arizona 7% of the Covid-19 tests are positive, in Santa Cruz County the number triples to 23.7%.
