Covid-19 Update – Arizona

PHOENIX, ARIZONA, US – Arizona state exceeded 5,000 people infected with Covid-19 this week, while the death toll is getting close to 200.

Monday morning, there were 187 deaths from health complications of 2019 Coronavirus and 5,664 people infected, the Arizona Department of Public Health Services confirmed.

Of the casualties, approximately six of every ten are men; but out of the people infected, the number of women is slightly higher.

Maricopa County has registered most of the deaths, documenting so far 75 casualties. In Pima County there are 58.

Santa Cruz and Cochise counties have not registered any deaths; but the other county that borders Sonora, Yuma, has documented three casualties.

In the distribution of the 5,064 infections, Maricopa County harbors the vast majority with 2,636 and Pima County follows with 941. The rest are distributed in the other thirteen counties.
