Covid-19 Update – Arizona
NOGALES, ARIZONA, USA – The number of contagions by Covid-19 in Arizona reached 4,719 during Saturday, while the volume of deceased people rose to 177.
Deaths
Maricopa County in Arizona is the region with the most deaths in the state with a total of 70, followed by Pima County with 56 deaths.
The counties bordering Mexico like Santa Cruz and Cochise have not recorded any deaths; but Yuma County, bordering San Luis Rio Colorado, has recorded three deaths.
Cases
Maricopa County is also where there are more documented cases of Covid-19, with a total of 2,492. In Pima County there are 856 cases and in Navajo there are 452.
Santa Cruz County has 16 contagions, of which between 6 and 10 are Nogales residents, and Cochise County has documented 22.
Arizona has applied 51,045 Covid-19 tests, of which an average of 8% have tested positive for the presence of the virus.
