Covid-19 Screening Tests Increase May 2
PHOENIX, ARIZONA, US – An ambitious Covid-19 screening test plan has been launched by the Arizona State Government to apply 10,000 to 20,000 tests every weekend.
The announcement made by the Arizona Department of Public Health Services indicates that in coordination with the Arizona Testing Blitz the goal of increasing Covid-19 testing has been set throughout the state.
Every Saturday, for three consecutive weeks they expect to apply 10,000 to 20,000 tests, beginning May 2.
Trial application sites are spread across the state, to pre-register you only need to go to azhealth.gov/TestingBlitz.
The tests are available to anyone who thinks they have been exposed and could be infected and will be based on the criteria established by each test site.
As of Monday, all 15 Arizona counties have confirmed cases of Covid-19 infections with a combined total of 6,716 cases statewide.
Commercial laboratories, hospital laboratories, and the Arizona State Public Health Laboratory continue to provide diagnostic tests and have conducted 66,543 tests to date.
