Covid-19 Outbreak in Nogales Clinic
NOGALES, SONORA, MX – A 2019 Coronavirus outbreak that affected a large part of the staff of Clinic #64, located in Nogales Industrial Park, was confirmed on Sunday.
The outbreak was confirmed by Celina Quintero Lugo, director of the IMSS clinic. She explains that twelve colleagues tested positive for Covid-19, including the security guard.
“Ten of our colleagues are isolated in their own homes. The other two are hospitalized. One was admitted to the hospital with asthmatic symptoms, the other one for diabetes complications,” she added.
The medical director also announced that more workers will arrive to maintain the normal operation of key areas of the clinic.
She added that on Monday, the clinic would be open to the public, though there will be a sanitary filter at the entrance to check symptoms and control entrance to the building.
