Couple Traveling With Three Children Was Transporting Firearms

SONOYTA, SONORA, MX – Customs personnel, and the State Public Security Police (PESP) seized two firearms from a couple in Sonoyta, who was traveling with three children in a car.

The events were registered on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 3, on the international line, where Alexandra N and Hector N, ages 29 and 25, were arrested. They were traveling in a gray Acura, MDX.

According to the PESP report, the state agents responded to a request by the Customs Foreign Trade personnel and went to the international border port of entry.

Before the eyes of Alexandra and Hector, the corresponding inspection was carried out, finding in the trunk of the vehicle a case with a .380 caliber firearm with 2 chargers and 16 bullets.

Also in a suitcase was a .9mm pistol with a magazine, firearms are not permitted entering Mexioco, so the couple was arrested.

The couple traveled with three minors, who were handed over by an adult designated by the children’s mother.
