Consulate Urges Community to Avoid Crossing the Border for Non-Essential Reasons

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – The Foreign Relations Secretary (SRE) through the Consulate General of Mexico in Nogales, Arizona, urges Mexicans and US citizens to avoid international travel to Mexico for non-essential reasons.

The diplomatic representation also announces the installation of sanitary filters at the ports of entry of Sonora to protect the health of the Mexican population, especially in the border states.

“These filters will verify the nature of the trip and the health status of passengers,” they announced.

The Consulate reiterated the request to avoid crossing the border for tourism or recreational purpose.

“In this way, they will avoid long lines to cross or the possible denial of access to national territory,” he said in a statement.
