Construction Workers Kidnapped and Beaten

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – Two construction workers were admitted to a local hospital after strangers broke into their home, kidnapped them, beat them, and abandoned them at outsides of the city.

The case was reported this Tuesday at 5:42 a.m. when police officers were called to go to the Periferico Oriente street, next to the “Cobach” study center.

They found 38-year-old Jose N and 49-year-old Alfredo N wounded. They stated that earlier they were at their home in the San Carlos neighborhood.

They reported that five men broke into their house violently and beat them with fists, feet, and a baseball bat, put them in a car, and minutes later abandoned them outside the city. The victims do not remember the make or model of the vehicle.

Paramedics from the Mexican Red Cross assisted them and took them to the General Hospital where Jose N was diagnosed with head trauma and bruises.

Alfredo N is being treated for chest trauma with probable pneumothorax, collapsed lung. The victims stated they don’t know of any cause for the beating nor the identities of the attackers.
