Confirmed, Return to School in Sonora will be through Distance Learning
HERMOSILLO, SONORA, MX – The Secretary of Education and Culture in Sonora announces that the return to school will be next August 24, through distance learning.
In a press conference, Sonoran authorities announce that virtual classes will be available through open television channels or by radio. The television networks TV Azteca and Televisa signed an agreement to broadcast educational content until students can go back to school onsite.
The calendar of activities will be published on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.
They also reported that the remote pre-inscription period has passed, but that students can still register from August 6 to August 21 to ensure education for all students.
During the conference, Sonoran authorities stress that they will only allow the return to in-person classes under the right conditions, stating that the health of students and education staff will not be exposed.
