Cocaine Seized by US Border Patrol

TUCSON, Arizona.- 18 pounds of cocaine were decommissioned by U.S. Border Patrol during inspection of a vehicle driven by an individual that was traveling between Nogales and Tucson.
The incident happened at the immigration checkpoint located in Amado, Arizona through I-19.
The driver, a male individual of 38 years of age, was moving aboard a Toyota SUV when he tried to go through the checkpoint.
A K9 police dog alerted of the probable presence of drugs and when the car was inspected through X-ray, it was found that it had a hidden cargo of cocaine.
The individual was arrested and drug charges were pressed, while the car and cargo were ensured.
