Closure of Gyms, Bars, Nightclubs, Movie Theaters, Recreational Sites and Water Parks is Extended

TUCSON, ARIZONA, USA – Arizona Governor Doug Ducey issued an executive order on Thursday extending the temporary closure of gyms, bars, nightclubs, movie theaters, water parks, and other recreation sites.

The executive order also prohibits the holding of major events and allows local authorities to take immediate action to ensure compliance with the order.

The order indicates that every two weeks the determination may be reviewed to see if the closings get lifted or extended.

Even when appropriate physical distancing is possible, organized events of more than 50 people are prohibited.

Although the Executive Order empowers local governments and county authorities to approve events under certain conditions.

They are also ordered to pause bar operations with a liquor license, although they are allowed to provide takeaway service.

Gyms, fitness centers, movie theaters, water parks, among other businesses will continue to be closed.
