U. S. gives millions to Claudio X Gonzalez’s “political destabilizing group MCCI”; Lopez Obrador sent a diplomatic letter to US Embassy
MEXICO CITY.- Mexico’s president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, sends a diplomatic letter to the United States Embassy in Mexico City requesting confirmation regarding the financial aid from the USA to Mexican political, destabilizing, and interventionist organizations.
On his daily morning conference, he exposed the content of the letter that was sent during Thursday requesting an explanation about the monetary support to the organization Mexicanos Contra la Corrupción e Impunidad (MCCI, Mexicans Against the Corruption and Impunity) led by Claudio X. Gonzalez son of Claudio X. Gonzalez.
“I always say Mexicans Against Corruption (organization) is in fact Mexicanos Favoring Corruption”, declared the President.
Lopez Obrador links Claudio X. Gonzalez son and father to political opposition, including electoral frauds.
Also pointing them as responsible for creating an opposition political group conformed by politicians as Diego Fernandez de Cevallos (ex-senator), Roberto Madrazo (ex-senator), Carlos Salinas de Gortari (ex-president), Felipe Calderon (ex-president), and media anchors like Joaquin Lopez Doriga, Ciro Gomez, Carlos Loret de Mola and newspapers as Reforma.
The intention, he added, is to avoid that political parties that support Mexico’s transformation don’t win the majority in the House of Representatives.
They do not want that the public budget to be used to help poverty.
USA gave millions to MCCI
From 2018 at the date, MCCI has received by the US Government for conduct of USAID 50 million pesos, revealed Lopez Obrador.
The resources which come from the United States have been delivered by the US Embassy in Mexico.
Mexico’s President added that the diplomatic letter is intending to ask for information and say to the US Government that MCCI is a political group opposed to the Mexican government.
The Mexico President remembers that the Constitution of Mexico prohibits that political groups receive money from other countries.
Lopez Obrador thinks that President Biden is not aware of the situation and the political intentions of MCCI.
Content of the diplomatic letter sent to the United States Embassy in Mexico:
The Government of Mexico recognizes as essential the work of civil society organizations, which it respects and encourages. Furthermore, we recognize the fight against corruption with a central element that must be shared by different actors, such as the business sector, non-governmental organizations, academia and governments”.
