City of Nogales Donates Property for Future National Guard Headquarter

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – On Monday, local and military authorities celebrated the donation of the property where the National Guard facility in Nogales will be built.

The building will be ready by November and will have areas for exercise, bedrooms, a swimming pool, a kitchen, a parking lot, meeting rooms, among other areas.

The City of Nogales donated the property, it is located in the Bicentenario neighborhood, commonly known as La Mesa,  at South Nogales.

During the event, the official documentation accrediting the donation was handed over and the official ribbon was cut.

Jesus Pujol Irastorza, mayor of Nogales, thanked the support of the Presidency of Mexico for the financial support to build the facility, which will help improve safety on this border and the region.

Jose Luis Valdes Sanchez, commander of the 45th Military Zone, thanked the Government of Sonora and the Municipality of Nogales, announcing that together they will reduce crime rates.
