CFE Agrees To Stop Electric Power Cuts For Specific Cases

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – The City of Nogales reaches agreement with the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) to stop the cuts in the electric power service for non-payment in the face of Covid-19.

According to a statement, the agreement was made after negotiations between the City of Nogales and the Electrical Energy Service Agency. The agreement will be applicable only to families classified as low income and that do not have a prior history of delays in payment.

Those users who are interested in applying for this agreement must-visit El Greco CFE facilities next Friday, June 22.

Users must bring billing receipts that verify the difference between the costs of a previous period and the period of May 2020.

In case of high consumption of electric power, users will have the opportunity to clarify the issue during the office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
