CBP: Travel And Product Restrictions Still in Effect

Tucson, Arizona, United States –  

US Customs authorities reminded us that with the arrival of Easter, travel and product restrictions are still in effect.

In a press release from the Department of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), they remind the community that many holiday items are restricted or prohibited from entering the United States.

Easter Season Items

“Items such as palm leaves are inspected by agricultural specialists and these are released only if no pests or disease symptoms are found,” they warned.  Palm leaves are traditionally used to create crosses for religious purposes.

Additionally, eggshells (filled with confetti) are restricted to 12 per passenger.  The shells must be clean, dry and free of residues.
