Border Patrol Seizes Drugs, Firearms and Cash

Yuma, Arizona, United States –

Border Patrol seizes drugs, firearms and cash in a car driven in Arizona by a U.S. citizen.

The detainee’s identity has not been released. The detainee was traveling aboard a Subaru, Outback, 2013 when he attempted to pass an immigration checkpoint installed on Interstate 8, informed the Border Patrol.

A trained dog alerted officers to the probable presence of an illegal cargo. Upon reviewing they found methamphetamine, marijuana, cash, and multiple firearms hidden in the trunk.

A concealed pistol was also recovered on the floor of the car, on the passenger side, as well as a shotgun in the trunk and a large amount of money.
