Border Patrol Rescues Immigrant Lost in the Desert

YUMA, ARIZONA, USA – Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents rescued an illegal immigrant who had been lost in the desert without water for two days and had trouble to continue walking.

Early Thursday morning, the Tucson sector notified the Wellton Border Patrol station after receiving a 911 call from an illegal alien.

The person claimed to have been without water for the past two days, and have several blisters on his feet, which made it difficult for him to walk.

Border Patrol Search, Trauma, and Rescue Unit agents (Borstar) and a Border Patrol agent from Camp Grip Advanced Operational Base were dispatched to the subject’s coordinates.

An EMT and two additional Border Patrol agents were also dispatched from Welton Station.

The person was located in a remote portion of the desert west of the Lukeville port of entry. The man appeared to be in good health and refused any other medical treatment.

During the week and in unrelated incidents, three migrants from Yemen were detained. They were caught on the west side of San Luis, Arizona.
