Border Patrol Rescues Illegal Immigrant
NOGALES, SONORA, MX – After four days of walking in the Southern Arizona desert, an illegal immigrant from Mexico was rescued by Border Patrol officers.
The incident happened in the Tumacacori mountains, when the migrant decided to ask for help by calling the 911 emergency line.
He explained that he had been in the area for four days but that he could no longer continue, so Border Patrol agents went to his aid.
For almost a week, the desert region of Arizona has documented triple-digit temperatures, that is, above 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius).
The weather conditions represent a high risk for those who try to cross the border illegally.
