Border Crossing Open Hours Changed for Sonoran Port of Entries

NOGALES, ARIZONA, US.- Next monday April 6, the US-Mexico border crossings of Nogales, Lukeville and Naco, Arizona, will reduce their open hours, announced Guadalupe Ramirez, director of Field Operations in Nogales Port of Entry in the Department of Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

In the city of Nogales, the adjustment of schedules will impact the Mariposa Port of Entry which instead of operating from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In a press release by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) it said that these changes were made at the request of the Tax Administration Service (SAT) Management Team in Nogales, Sonora and derived from Covid-19.

The hours of operation for commercial border crossing at Mariposa Port of Entry, will remain unchanged at this time.

In addition, the Pedestrian Port of Entry Morley Gate, located between the streets of Elías and Internacional, has been closed since last Monday.

Lukeville and Naco

The other ports where the business hours will be modified are Lukeville, border with Sonoyta, Sonora, and Naco, border with Naco, Sonora.

In the case of Lukeville business hours will be from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and for Naco from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
