Authorities Urge The Community To Keep Prevention Measures

NOGALES, SONORA, MEXICO – Local authorities urge the community to continue with the COVID-19 prevention measures, due to the increase in cases presented during May.

In the last week, 93 new confirmed cases were registered, on Monday 05-18 the day closed with 127 cases while on Monday 05-25 the day closed with 220.

As of May 24, there were 120 Covid-19 patients, of which 28 were hospitalized. Seven patients were stable and 21 are in serious condition. To date, Nogales documented 13 deaths.

Jesus Alberto Dicochea Aguilar, director of Municipal Health, states that the government will continue with measures that reduce the risk of contracting Coronavirus.

Among the strategies to reduce the risk of infection are street sanitization, sanitary filters, and sanitation tunnels in different strategic points of the city.

Just like we ask people to stay home, we also ask the community to carry out essential activities by themselves while maintaining hygienic measures such as hand washing, wearing face masks, and maintaining a safe distance.
