Attempts of Illegal Drug Smuggling Continues

NOGALES, ARIZONA, US –  The flow of illegal drugs through the Nogales border crossings ports to the United States has continued by both body carries and drivers.

According to reports from the Department of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) a 45-year-old woman was arrested in a smuggling attempt. The woman was caught transporting a 45-pound shipment of fentanyl in a hidden compartment in the rocker panel area inside her car.

In a different case, a 36-year-old woman was arrested. She concealed a bundle with half a pound of heroin wrapped in rubber inside her body.

A third case was documented when US Customs officers confiscated 10 pounds of heroin and 1.6 pounds of fentanyl pills hidden inside in a car engine.
