Armed Men Demanding Medical Attention Caught in Magdalena

MAGDALENA, SONORA, MX – Two men were arrested by Public Safety State Police (PESP) agents after a report that they were carrying a weapon inside a local clinic.

The incident occurred at 11:00 am on Sunday when operators of the 911 emergency line received a report about armed men demanding medical attention for another person inside a clinic located on Francisco Eusebio Kino street.

The men attempted to flee aboard a gray Volkswagen, Passat, 2004. The suspects were intercepted by police on Alvaro Obregon street between avenues Doctor Franco Lans Perez and Ignacio Allende.

The driver, identified himself as Carlos “N”, who was accompanied by Francisco “N”. They were caught in possession of a .9-millimeter handgun.

Both were arrested and turned for processing to the Attorney General of the Republic.
