Armed Groups Use Tire Deflation Devices Against National Guard
SANTA ANA, SONORA, MX – Using tires deflation devices, an armed group immobilized the National Guard for minutes while managing to escape.
The incident occurred at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday during an operative by the guards at Estacion Llano, a small town in the Municipality of Santa Ana.
National Guard members observed armed subjects inside a 2018 black Jeep Cherokee, who fled while throwing tire deflation devices on the road.
This gave criminals enough time to escape. Shortly after, the elements of the National Guard found the same car abandoned near the VIP gas station at the South exit of Santa Ana city.
The car had a theft report in Tucson, Arizona.
In Pitiquito, while patrolling the Municipal and Venustiano Carranza streets, the National Guard seized a blue Chevrolet 1500 truck, equipped with strobe lights, like the ones used on police automobiles.
The car was secured and will be transferred by state authorities to the city of Hermosillo for investigation.
