Arizona Governor Mandates Re-Closure of Bars, Movie Theaters, Gyms, and Waterparks for 30 Days.

PHOENIX, ARIZONA, US – Following weeks of steady increases in new Covid-19 infections in Arizona, the Governor, Doug Ducey announced today a month-long pause on the operations of bars, gyms, movie theaters, waterparks, and tubing rentals.

The executive order goes into effect today, Monday, June 29 at 8:00 pm and it will last through July 27.

The governor also announced that organized events of more than 50 people are prohibited, which include the 4th of July celebrations this coming weekend.

Considering the infection rates, the Governor also announced that the first day of school has been delayed until at least August 17, 2020, though distance learning can begin before then.
