Arizona Curfew Expires
PHOENIX, ARIZONA, USA – Monday at 5:00 am, the executive order establishing a curfew announced by the State Government expired in Arizona.
Through his social media, Governor Doug Ducey announced his public thanks to the protesters and police agencies for their cooperation during the week, when the executive order was active.
He noted that for the past eight days Arizona residents have used their constitutional rights in a peaceful way.
And that thanks to that, the wave of violence that other states experienced in their protests against the death of African-American George Floyd in Minneapolis, was avoided.
“With the curfew expired, the Arizona Department of Public Safety will remain vigilant, working with local law enforcement agencies to ensure they have the tools necessary to keep streets safe and protect the rights of residents to be heard,” he said.
