April 2020 Immigration and Border Report Released
PHOENIX, ARIZONA, USA – United States Attorney’s Office District of Arizona issued the April 2020 Immigration and Border Report.
Regarding Illegal Reentry After Deportation, data shows that 74 individuals were charged with illegal reentry and that 62 of them had previously been convicted of non-immigration criminal offenses in the United States.
Of the 62 individuals with non-immigration criminal records, 19 had violent crime convictions. Two individuals had homicide convictions, two individuals had sex offense convictions and eight individuals had domestic violence convictions.
Also, 17 people had property crime convictions, 14 had DUI convictions, 28 had drug crime convictions and 32 of those 74 individuals had been deported three or more times.
Alien Smuggling
The April report the Department of Justice shows that 14 individuals were charged in April with alien smuggling.
These numbers represent the United States Attorney’s Office prosecutions only. These numbers do not include individuals apprehended by immigration enforcement officials and subjected solely to administrative processes.
